Adventures in Vegas

We are back to Vegas, Joyce found a one bedroom time share deal  "Hilton Grand Vacation"  at the Flamingo on the strip. First night in while we were washing the towels and sheets we walked around to the resort store to get bottled water " when Joyce did a Mama chicken wing impression" and left. We did find in the gym a filtered cold water cooler. We drunk all the water we wanted.. Then Joyce found a container of  Lysol Antibacterial Wipes it was like Christmas in march, I think I saw a tear of joy in her eye.

We walked around  taking pictures on the strip the dancing water at the Bellaggio. Did a lot of high powered gambling Joyce an I lost almost $40.00 - $50.00 between us. Way up from the usual $2.00 - $3.00 between us.  Just doing our part to get the economy going.  Just have to keep an eye on Joyce she has been known to try and cut other patrons with a plastic knife for smoking in in the Non Smoking Area of the Casino. They have  98% of the casino to smoke in and yet chose to invade the few feet of semi smoke free area. in the place. Go figure. The last time I was in Vegas I had a asthma attack in one of the older casinos due to smoke.

Dinner buffet at The Orleans seems to be the best dinner deal for the price. Since the economy is so tight you cant find those cheap food deals that always existed in the past.

Lake Mead a mere shadow of what it used to be. The water level is down 40 - 50 feet. There a hills and valleys now exposed to the sun after decades under water thru out the lake. All of the light colored soil in the pictures used to be under water. The lake is supplied from the Colorado River. The local demand for water and supplying states like California has taken its toll perhaps water levels will never be that high again.
